Serious Sam Barrett is a hard touring folk and country singer-songwriter hailing from Otley, West Yorkshire. Armed with a 12-string guitar and banjo, he delivers raw, heartfelt songs—both self-penned and traditional—that echo the spirit of the British countryside and the grit of the open road.
Raised in the Dales village of Addingham, Sam cut his teeth in the vibrant Leeds music scene, beginning in 2004. His reputation quickly grew beyond local venues, gaining wider attention with the release of his acclaimed 2009 debut album, Close To Home. Since then, he’s become known for his powerful live performances and unwavering commitment to authentic roots music.
